Foo Fighters to Tour With Weezer, Kaiser Chiefs

The Foo Fighters are friendly folk. And they're always making nice with other bands. This year alone they released a two-disc album that featured cameos from Led Zeppelin's John Paul Jones and Norah Jones. (No, they're not related to each other. At least I don't think they are.) Then they launched a fittingly huge-ass tour for their huge-ass album where they shared the stages with peppy Canadian bands like the Constantines and Sloan. And now, after jumping from the States to Japan and then from Canada back to Europe, they have announced through a press release that they will be heading back to our shores to get buddy-buddy with fellow alt-rock survivors Weezer. Wait! That's not it. I told you, they are friendly folk-- this fall tour will also include a number of dates with British bands, namely the Kaiser Chiefs and Oasis. See? They're sharing the stage with Oasis once; I told you-- friendly. Dave Grohl and co. will also headline the Voodoo Music Festival in New Orleans on October 30 before taking their show across the seas. These are celebrities that will have legitimate reasons for citing "exhaustion" when they check into a hospital at the end of this tour.

A number of American cities have been confirmed sans date and venue, but seeing as there seems to be a bit of a gap in the schedule between the beginning of October and the end, maybe you can hope for some possibilities there. So, as we've stated with other bands in the past when this no-venue/no-date situation arises, just camp out in front of your local corporate-sponsored arena and hope for the best.

The lost cities of the moment:

Champaign, IL
Grand Rapids, MI
Detroit, MI
Cleveland, OH
Columbus, OH
Baltimore, MD
Worcester, MA
