Longwave Tour With Doves

After being championed by the Strokes, New York shoegazers Longwave cut the umbilical cord and made sizable strides of their own-- the band's latest LP, the John Leckie-produced There's a Fire, was released in June on Red Ink. Natch, the group's heading out on tour in support of the disc, but that's not all they'll be supporting. For a smattering of September dates, Longwave will open for soulful British favorites Doves. As an added bonus, Longwave will take part in a free concert alongside Spoon as part of Boston alt-rock station WFNX's "New Music Concert Series" later on this month. Dates:
