Pitchfork: Black Keys to Release Live DVD, Tour

Ohio boys the Black Keys have lots of love for their home state, and apparently, for Australia as well. The gutter-blues duo�s first full-length live DVD captures a performance at Sydney's sold-out Metro Theatre on March 18 of this year. That's 2005, folks. The DVD, creatively titled The Black Keys Live drops on October 4, courtesy of Fat Possum Records. Come on, you've heard it a thousand times-- you can stop giggling at the name of the label. Not that this writer did. In addition to the concert, the DVD includes interview footage of Keymeisters Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney, a photo gallery (ooh, sexxeee, scruffy pin-ups!) the David Cross-directed video for "10 AM Automatic", and the video for "Set You Free". Coincidentally, The Black Keys Live hits stores shortly after the band begins their fall tour. Live. That's the funny part, see? Moral of the story: see the Black Keys in September, buy the DVD in October, and head to the venue again in November. Flawless.
