Mates of State Tour with Ida

The as-yet untitled follow-up to 2003's Team Boo was recorded in New Haven, Conn.'s Firehouse 12 Studios alongside producer Bill Racine (Rogue Wave, Hopewell). Last year, the married couple released Two of Us, a DVD tour documentary, and All Day, a four-track EP. They've kept busy between recording sessions too: after playing the Noise Pop and Siren Music festivals, the band has garnered an invitation to that Austin City Limits hootenanny on September 23.

New Polyvinyl label mates and folk-pop vets Ida will provide support for the Mates beginning September 29. Ida's flaunting a relatively new album themselves, Heart Like a River, their Polyvinyl debut, which was released in February. Hey wait a second… there’s a married couple in Ida, too, right?
