Pitchfork: Orenda Fink on Tour With Omaha Cohorts

Orenda Fink, one half of dream-pop duo Azure Ray, is off on her first tour as a solo act after releasing Invisible Ones late last month. Fink's debut is out on Saddle Creek Records and features a slew of collaborations, as is Saddle Creek style. Todd Baechle (the Faint, and Fink's husband), Scott Amendola (Scott Amendola Band), Jackie Lyons (Little Red Rocket, Azure Ray), Clay Leverett (Lona, Now It's Overhead), Nate Walcott (Bright Eyes, the Faint, Rilo Kiley), Patterson Hood (Drive-By Truckers), and Dave Sitek (TV on the Radio) all stopped by for a little guest-spot action.

Not all those folks could make it for the tour-- Todd refused to ride in the roof rack, God knows why-- but Fink will be playing select dates with Neva Dinova, Omaha homies Tilly and the Wall, and traveling minstrel David Dondero. The tour will take these many musicians in a short loop from the Midwest to the East Coast and back. Additionally, Fink plans to open up a handful of dates for former Soul Coughing frontman Mike Doughty. Full slate:
