Rosebuds Album Out Next Week Via Merge, Tour Kicks Off Tonight

According to their bio, the Rosebuds' Ivan Howard and Kelly Crisp played their first show just a week after they got married. That sounds so much more romantic than going to Yellowstone National Park or giving birth, which is what I did on my honeymoon. The band's second album, Birds Make Good Neighbors, will be available Sept. 13, and, like the band's debut, The Rosebuds Make Out, will be released on Merge Records. The label choice makes sense, as the Rosebuds are from Raleigh, N.C., and also produce great pop songs like so much of Merge's roster, albeit without the bombast and extra fuss (you know who I mean.)
