Pitchfork: Khanate Schedule North American Tour

NYC doom metal outfit Khanate is going on tour this month in support of their newest album, Capture and Release, out last month. The band plays nightmarish, mirror-smashing hard rock that some would be inclined to call epic. Seriously, seriously epic. The new record has a running length of 43 minutes. For just two tracks. If it takes these guys 43 minutes to play two songs, how long does it take them to shave? A week? Anyway, the show promises to be a brain-mashing display of riffage and drumming so huge it makes Star Jones look like a size 4. If you play the show backwards you'll hear Satan whispering "Treat Her Like a Prostitute" in latin. This is some serious shit.
