Explosions in the Sky Debut to Be Reissued

Portentous, enigmatic, and unspeakably beautiful, darkness has alternately allured and frightened people for thousands of years. The night serves as a rich tapestry of romance, horror, and mortality-- a constellation of our own projections and thoughts. Explosions in the Sky have mined darkness to great effect in their cinematic treatises, 2001's Those Who Tell The Truth Shall Die, Those Who Tell The Truth Shall Live Forever and 2003's The Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place. Their sweeping instrumental tracks are as vast and foreboding as their inspiration. On October 11, Temporary Residence will reissue the Explosions' first album 2000's How Strange, Innocence. The reissue is long overdue, considering only 300 copies were initially released and collectors have been willing to pay hundreds of dollars to obtain the album. The album has been remastered with new artwork. Tracklisting:

In other news, an Explosions in the Sky mini-album containing unreleased material will come out this month as part of Travels In Constants, Temporary Residence's limited edition mailorder only CD series. The mini-album will not be avialable in stores. Finally, Explosions in the Sky is currently on tour throughout the UK with Four Tet. Known for their intensely powerful live sets, embracing darkness with the Explosions is an opportunity not to be missed. Dates:
