Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings Funk All Over the World

Get on the good foot: Brooklyn soul powerhouse Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings are hitting the road, jack, and won't come back until...well, until the tour is over.

Jones released Naturally to rave reviews earlier this year on funk revivalist label Daptone Records, following her 2002 cult hit Dap Dippin' With Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings. Imagine a world where James Brown and Al Green LPs from 1968 were held as iconic templates from which all future music should be based, where analog production, horns and funky drums are the building blocks of life, and you'll get an idea of where Jones, a former prison guard, is coming from. Alternatively, you could take her word for it: "If you can't feel the music on this album, then you must be a dead ass!"

Jones and her crew are on the road right now, hitting a nice chunk of the Western Hemisphere, so get off your dead ass and groove:
