Super Furry Animals to Tour U.S. With Caribou, Get Remixed by Danger Mouse

What's Welsh for "fookin' a!"? Everybody's favorite crazy Welshmen (sorry Goldie Lookin Chain and Gorky's Zygotic Mynci), Super Furry Animals, have announced plans for a late-2005 North American tour in support of their latest full length, Love Kraft. We lovingly bestowed the coveted "Best New Music" distinction upon that fine, fine record, so the fur on our backs is standing up in delighted anticipation.

After a brief jaunt to Japan, the Furries will kick off the 21-date North American tour in early November with two shows at New York City's Webster Hall, before heading across the U.S. and Canada through December 1. The band is keeping this outing truly super and furry by featuring support from dream-tronica outfit Caribou at all of the American and Canadian shows.

The band is also scheduled to play a set at next month's "Keeping it Peel: The John Peel Day Launch Event" in London. The gathering is set for October 12 at the Royal Festival Hall, with fellow heavyweights New Order, The Fall, and Laura Cantrell also performing in honor of the legendary British DJ, who passed away last year.
