Lichens Tours With Grizzly Bear, Soft Circle

Robert Lowe is one of the coolest dudes in Chicago, if not on the planet. Not only does he play in 90 Day Men and TV on the Radio, work at the Empty Bottle, and share his name with a movie star, but he's also got a beautiful, droney solo project called Lichens.

Lichens' debut album, The Psychic Nature of Being, is still fresh off the presses thanks to Kranky, and Lowe has decided to take his act on the road. Joining him will be former Lightning Bolt vocalist and Black Dice drummer Hisham Bharoocha in his Soft Circle guise, as well as Brooklyn experimentalists Grizzly Bear.

According to the Kranky website, Chocolate Industries will soon release a limited edition Lichens 7", which will come with a Lowe-curated art book, featuring contributions from Devendra Banhart and others. Man, this guy has cred points up the wazoo.
