Pitchfork: Broken Social Scene Begin Tour Tonight

Isn't it great that Broken Social Scene are finally headlining venues where there are more people in the audience than on stage? Tonight, Canada's favourite in-crowd starts its tour supporting their newly released self-titled third album, rocking the socks off of the college town of Kingston, Ontario. The band will then visit eight Canadian towns and 14 American cities before heading overseas in December to spread the word across Europe.

Serving opening duties for all of the U.S. shows will be occasional BSS vocalist Leslie Feist. Methinks she might be prodded to join the headliners for one or two songs, but only if you clap really hard.
