Pitchfork: Early Man Tour, Promote Safe Sex

While metal malcontents Early Man are surely proud of their recent signing to Matador Records and subsequent debut LP, Closing In, the band must be seriously amped about another new project: their very own line of condoms. According to Matador's website, the Early Man condom (which we're told to "keep an eye out for") "is black and comes in a handsome envelope" which depicts a cartoon woman's exposed and g-string'd derriere with the words "Early Man" stenciled across her butt cheeks.

That stencil was also put to good use earlier this year, when the band sponsored a car in a Utah demolition derby. Footage from the derby can be seen on the Matador website. Something tells us this band wants to seem "redneck".

Those condoms will come in handy on the band's current tour in support of Closing In, which came out on October 11.
