Wilderness Kick Off Tour, Work on Second LP

Starting tonight in Pittsburgh, Baltimore quartet Wilderness will bring their PiL-esque post-punk to the wilds of the Midwest and East during a short tour. The shows, few that they are, include a slew of openers and supporting gigs, including two shows in New York City with Explosions in the Sky.

But Southern and Western folk shouldn’t fret. According to Wilderness’ label, Jagjaguwar, the art-rock band will hit the road for a full North American and European tours, soon after they release their upcoming second album in April 2006. Until then, Jagjaguwar says the band is putting the finishing touches on the album, which was recorded at Silver Sonya studios in Arlington VA. Band member Will Goode (not the former Philadelphia mayor) reports that the recording process has been..."magical."
