Tender Trap Return With New EP, Album

Is indie pop making a comeback? Ooh, I hope so! The latest sign that the once latent genre is on the rise again is the return of the beloved Amelia Fletcher, who perfected exquisite Sixties-descended pop songwriting through the years as singer for Talulah Gosh, Heavenly, and Marine Research. For the past four years, the queen bee of twee has been whipping up frothy confections in the band Tender Trap alongside Rob Pursey and John Stanley (DJ Downfall). After a long hiatus, the trio will hit the ground running with a new EP entitled Language Lessons, due sometime soon on Matinée Recordings. Claudia Gonson of the Magnetic Fields plays drums on the EP, and Lupe Núnez-Fernández of Pipas sings. Tracklist:

In January, a new Tender Trap full length, Talking Backwards, will come out on Matinée in the U.S. and Fortuna Pop! in Europe. Gonson rocks the backbeat on the album as well. Here's the album tracklist, tell your Friendsters!
