Isis to Release Vinyl-Only Live LP

Does ambient metal sound better on vinyl? Is the Pope Catholic? (No srsly, wasn't he a Hitler Youth or some shit?) ANYWAY, experi-metal monoliths Isis are preparing to release a double-LP version of a recent tour-only live CD, recorded in 2003 during a Stockholm radio broadcast. Live Stockholm 3. 19. 03 was originally due out on the Troubleman Unlimited label (home of Glass Candy, Ex Models, all yr fave arty post-hardcore bands) this Friday, December 9, but a "printing problem" has delayed the release, according to the TMU website. Maybe the wax melted from all those shit-hot drones?

However, when those platters do see the light of day, you'd better get your paws on one right quick, as only 1,000 are being pressed. Just in time for Christmas, too. Take that, Xbox 360. Tracklist:

01 From Sinking
02 Glisten
03 Carry
04 Weight
05 The Beginning and the End
06 Celestial (Ext/Alt version)

Isis' website mentions a few other projects in the works, including a live DVD, some sort of split release with the Melvins (cue sound of avant-metalheads' faces exploding), and a new studio album sometime before the next Ice Age.
