Pitchfork: Sunn O))) Unleash East Coast Tour

Start stocking up on the Cheer Dark Formula and grooming the devil beard, ‘cause blackest of the blackest, doomest of the doomest, metalest of the metalest band Sunn0))) are hitting the road. Self-described as "bleak, crushing, and devoid of light," the superduo of Stephen O'Malley (Khanate, Burning Witch) and Greg Anderson (Goatsnake) are touring in support of their latest malevolent masterwork, Black One, recently released on their own Southern Lord label.

This East Coast jaunt promises to be even more sinister than usual, as the duo will be accompanied by "visual fogged aggression technicians" Randall Dunn and TOS (ooh, I bet that stands for something EVIL) as well as vocalist Malefic from the band Xasthur. So basically it's going to be a bunch of guys in black robes running around in front of some smoke machines and strobe lights. Still, they'll probably put Hell House to shame, especially in Philly, where they're playing in an actual church sanctuary. Lordy!:
