John Vanderslice Gives Away Live Show Online

John Vanderslice sure adores his fans. And what gift says "I love you" better than free music? (Well, maybe one of those new Xboxes, but those are like impossible to find...)

Last week, Vanderslice uploaded the entirety of his November 5 performance at the Independent in San Francisco onto his website, for each and every one of us to enjoy free of charge. Each song is available individually as mp3s, or the whole shebang is downloadable as one big ol' .zip file.

Christmas spirit isn't the only motivation for Vanderslice's generosity. "I wanted to record the last show of our 'I've Been Living in a K-Hole' US tour to document the best band I've ever had playing my songs. They are my permanent band and I'll be recording the next full-length with them this summer," he said in a press release. Keep showing that band off, John, and you'll hear no complaints from us! Well, at least not until the next review.
