Plastic Constellations Ready Frenchkiss Debut

As the most talented, most whiney, and most overpaid player in baseball, Alex Rodriguez was destined to become a member of the New York Yankees. It was written in the stars. Likewise, as an awesomely spastic, post-punk, booty-shakin' clan of white dudes from Minneapolis, it was only a matter of time before the Plastic Constellations hooked up with their like-minded soulmates over at Frenchkiss Records, home of Les Savy Fav, the Hold Steady, Thunderbirds are Now!, and the rest of our favorite weirdoes.

On January 24, Frenchkiss will go all George Steinbrenner on us and release the newest Plastic Constellations disc, Crusades. It will be the 10-year indie veterans' follow-up to 2004's comeback record, Mazatlan. The tracklist for Crusades (which we're hoping contains a song about Pope Innocent III...we love that dude!) goes something like this:
