Lyrics Born Launches European Tour

The Bay Area's Quannum Projects has been keeping Northern California hip-hop large and in charge for over a decade now, and Lyrics Born has been a foundation of their success throughout the label's lifespan. This past year saw the release of Same !@#$ Different Day, the sequel to LB's 2003 album Later That Day. It was full of special guest appearances by producers and MCs including DJ Shadow, Dan the Automator, Chief Xcel (Blackalicious), KRS-One, Evidence (of Dilated Peoples), and E-40. Lyrics Born also produced Pigeon John's latest album (his first for Quannum), and he plans to release a new studio album, as well as a live album, in the 06.

To stoke the creative fires, Lyrics Born will be heading off to Europe with fellow Bay Area resident Mike Relm, a turntablist/DJ who'll be both opening shows with a solo set and backing Lyrics during his set. After a nice Groundhog Day rest, Lyrics will be heading to Florida for a bit of R and R with an appearance at the Langerado Music Festival.
