Pitchfork: Editors Kick off Massive Tour Tonight

UK hypeathon Editors had quite a 2005:Ttheir first single, "Bullets", sold out the day it was released, their debut album, The Back Room, went gold in the UK, they supported Franz Ferdinand on the road, sold out an entire fall tour, and were knighted and admitted into the royal family. OK that last part isn't true...yet.

So brace yourselves for an invasion of TKs and CQs, as Editors are headed Stateside for a brief introductory U.S. tour, playing shows east and west and nowhere in between, save a performance at SXSW in March. They'll also knock the socks off KCRW's "Morning Becomes Eclectic" on January 17.

Editors kick off the U.S. leg of their tour on Sunday, after a one-day stint at the EuroSonic festival in Holland tonight. Sheesh, what a hike! After dabbling in the U.S. touring arena, the band heads back to Europe, playing a show almost daily until early March, when they wrap it all up back in England. But good luck getting tickets for those last shows; they probably sold out in negative time.
