Nine Black Alps Debut LP Coming to America

UK upstarts Nine Black Alps are yet another big deal band that the UK press likes to label (for better or for worse) the "British Nirvana" whenever it gets the chance. Whether the boys will be deemed vitriolic godsends, classic throwbacks, or laughably overrated chancers in a few months time is yet to be determined.

Anyone who got in on the ground floor when the band flew over to the U.S. for the few shows they've played here knows that this is no Franz-y dance-punk band. Think more of past U.S. indie rock heroes like Sonic Youth, the Pixies, and, well, Nirvana: loudness, distortion, and huge choruses.

On February 28, Interscope will bring Nine Black Alps' debut album, Everything Is to our shores. This is the tracklisting for the celebrated LP, produced by Rob Schnapf (Beck, Elliott Smith):

01 Get Your Guns
02 Cosmopolitan
03 Not Everyone
04 Unsatisfied
05 Headlights
06 Behind Your Eyes
07 Ironside
08 Shot Down
09 Just Friends
10 Everybody Is
11 Intermission
12 Southern Cross
