Cat Power Cancels U.S. Tour

Just a few days before Chan Marshall was set to head out on the road in support of her new album, The Greatest, Matador Records has announced that Cat Power has canceled her entire American tour.

The label cited "health reasons" as the cause of the cancellation, saying only "Out of respect for Chan's privacy, we can't give more detailed information, but we hope and assume that you'll respect her privacy during this time as well."

"There will be information about refunds available imminently, and the tour will be rescheduled as soon as possible."

As of right now, all of Marshall's February and March American dates, including her performance at the Matador SXSW showcase, are off. However, Cat Power shows in London and Paris in March, as well as appearances at Coachella in April and Bonnaroo in June, are still tentatively scheduled.
