John Atkins (ex-764-Hero) Forms New Band

Ooh, more Modest Mouse news, you ask? No, but not so far off: we're here to tell you that John Atkins of 764-HERO/Magic Magicians fame is back in the game, with a new act he's taken to calling the Can't See. The band is starting small-ish, with a limited vinyl release of 300 for their first album, Coma Comma No More, and an already completed West Coast jaunt with the Helio Sequence, which, for the moment, would have been the only place you could buy the album. Our bad! We can give you the tracklist, though:

According to Atkins, the band is gearing up for a trip to Japan in May, where Coma Comma No More will enjoy CD release via 7 e.p. Records. This seems a bit strange until you head on over to 7 e.p.'s website, where they're hawking just about every K Records release you can imagine, and advertising a Jeff Hanson tour. Who knew?

In the meantime, Atkins says they're shopping the album around to labels for domestic CD release and planning a spring tour of the U.S., as well as continuing to play in their little corner of the world.
