Sunset Rubdown's Absolutely Kosher Debut Due in May

Two bands just aren't enough to contain Spencer Krug's creativity. The Frog Eyes member and Wolf Parade co-leader lets his muse run wild in Sunset Rubdown, which began as a solo project but has blossomed into a full-blown band. After last year's release of their debut album, Snake's Got a Leg on Global Symphonic, Sunset Rubdown signed to Absolutely Kosher. But they left their friends at Global Symphonic with a little going-away present: a five-track EP that came out last month.

Sunset Rubdown will make their Absolutely Kosher debut with Shut Up I Am Dreaming, due May 2. This time out, Krug will be joined by Jordan Robson Cramer, Mike Doerkson (sorry about that last name, dude), and Camilla Wynn Ingr. Shockingly, no members of the Arcade Fire, Broken Social Scene, or Modest Mouse were involved in the recording.

Krug will pull double duty on tour this May, when Sunset Rubdown will head out on the road with Frog Eyes.
