Pitchfork: Craig Wedren Teams With Dead Science

Former Shudder to Think frontman and current Team Love solo crooner Craig Wedren isn't resting on his DC post-punk fame (or Conor Oberst's super-fandom). He's gettin' off his ass and gettin' in the van.

Tonight, the falsetto master launches a West Coast tour in Seattle. Xiu Xiu friends the Dead Science will both open for and back Wedren on all of the dates, Beck/Flaming Lips style.

In March, Wedren will get his artsy-fartsy on when he performs with cabaret gang the Citizens Band at downtown Manhattan's Deitch Projects. The show is called "Chewing Up the Scenery" and will probably be really pretentious. But hey, the performance group's roster features the likes of Karen Elson, Rain Phoenix, and Angela McClusky-- where else are you gonna see Jack White's wifey, Joaquin and River Phoenix's sister, and the woman who sang that Telepopmusik song in that commercial in the same room? A VMAs after-party?
