TV on the Radio Sign to Interscope
While details of the deal are scarce at the present time, Pitchfork has learned that the band's forthcoming second album will appear on the Universal Music imprint in America. TV on the Radio remain signed to 4AD outside of the U.S.
No word yet on the LP's title or release date. A copy of what is alleged to be the final version of the record has been floating around the internet for the past few days and it sounds, to put it mildly, fucking great. We're pretty sure that really is David Bowie singing on the third track, too.
Here's the wildly unconfirmed, possibly completely wrong, tracklist:
01 Playhouses
02 I Was a Lover
03 Province
04 Snakes and Martyrs
05 Wolf Like Me
06 Tonight
07 Dirty Whirlwind
08 A Method
09 Let the Devil In
10 Blues From Down Here
11 Wash the Day Away
As we wait for various publicists to call us back, feast on these cold, hard facts: TV on the Radio's Tunde Adebimpe appears on the latest Prefuse 73 album, Security Screenings. The whole band is slated to contribute to forthcoming albums from Massive Attack and Lee "Scratch" Perry (yes, the dub legend). And, as previously reported, they're going on tour in March and April.
