Wilderness Tour With Liars, Parts & Labor

If this were the Suburbs, releasing a critically acclaimed debut album and getting tabbed as the second coming of Public Image Ltd. wouldn't be such a huge deal. You'd make yourself some mac and cheese, play a few rounds of Animal Crossing, and calmly plot out your next move.

But this is the Wilderness, people! It's kill or be killed!

As previously reported, Baltimore fourpiece Wilderness are breaking out their machetes and prepping for the release of their sophomore LP, Vessel States, which according to the band, sheds any and all "psychic parameters...in an attempt at immediacy." The vinyl version of the album comes out tomorrow, and the CD is unleashed April 11, both via Jagjaguwar. Given that the cover art is even more eyeball-scathing than the first album's, we recommend the CD for everyone's health and safety.

Later this week, the band will venture out of the lawless jungle and into...Amsterdam (well that wasn't phrased very well, was it?) to get the ball rolling on an extensive world tour. After scaring the fuck out of Germany with Liars and scalding England with Black Dice and Deerhoof, they'll blaze across North America with Jagjaguwar auto mechanics Parts & Labor.
