Pitchfork: Part Chimp Invade America

Arm yourselves, Yanks: UK noise boys Part Chimp are bringing their war machine to U.S. shores. On Thursday, while the rest of the country nods off while watching "The O.C.", New York City will witness the first date of the band's inaugural U.S. tour. They have recruited new Sub Pop signees Oxford Collapse as their crusade-mates for the length of their three-week tour, with the Narrator and Gregor Samsa helping out for a few kills.

The trek includes an unlikely stop in Farmington, Missouri, and a highly appropriate stop at a place called the Darkside Lounge in Dallas. Mwwwahahaha! There are also a couple of requisite SXSW shows.

Part Chimp's second full-length, I Am Come, came out last year on Mogwai's Rock Action label in the UK and Monitor in the U.S. While not as cleverly named as their debut, Chart Pimp, it brought the fury all the same.
