Pitchfork: The Rakes Invade the States

Hot on the transatlantic heels of a certain other English band sympathizing with the bored middle-class of their country, the Rakes will release their debut album, Capture/Release, in the States via V2 Records on April 18. The tracklist will be the same as the UK release, but will be appended with "All Too Human", which has just been released as a single in the UK.

The Rakes will pimp themselves and their album with several SXSW appearances this week, followed by Boston and NYC shows next week. After a quick run through the French countryside, the Rakes will zip over to the West Coast in late April to support yet another set of down-and-out Brit heroes, Hard-Fi. From there, they'll spend a ho-hum couple of weeks touring in England, but if you can't rock out to the ho-hum, you're not the Rakes' type, right?
