Vice Records to Curate Festival

If you're a music fan in the Chicago area, it's going one to be one hell of a summer. In addition to the 38-artist Pitchfork Music Festival, Lollapalooza, and the Chicago International House Music Festival, the Intonation Music Festival, which Pitchfork had the pleasure of curating and helping to organize and launch last year, also returns. This year's version of that festival-- a two-day, 22-artist event to be held June 24-25 in Chicago's Union Park-- will be curated by our friends at Vice Records.

The festival will feature numerous Vice artists, including Bloc Party, the Streets, the Stills, Boredoms, Chromeo, and Panthers, as well as Lady Sovereign, Dead Prez, Jon Brion, Annie, José González, Lupe Fiasco, Devin the Dude, the Constantines, High on Fire, Kano, 90 Day Men, and Tyrades.

This year, we at Pitchfork are organizing a separate event, the inaugural Pitchfork Music Festival, which will be held July 29-30 at Union Park. The Pitchfork Music Festival will feature upwards of three dozen of your favorite indie rock, hip-hop, techno, jazz, and avant-garde artists, including the newly announced Futureheads, Art Brut, and Chin Up Chin Up, as well as Silver Jews, Ted Leo/Pharmacists, Destroyer, Mountain Goats, Band of Horses, Man Man, Hot Machines, Spoon, Yo La Tengo, Devendra Banhart Band, Mission of Burma, Aesop Rock, the National, Jens Lekman, and Tapes 'n Tapes.

Tickets for the Pitchfork Music Festival are only $30 for a two-day pass or $20 for one-day admission, and they can be purchased HERE.
