Walkmen, Wrens, Man Man Play MACRoCK

All right, college students, time to put down the Frisbee, switch off the Family Guy DVD, and check it: the Mid-Atlantic College Radio Conference (MACRoCk) is celebrating 10th anniversary this weekend at the friendly campus of Harrisonburg, Virginia's James Madison University (home of the Dukes and Scott Norwood, d'oh!).

This year's conference will take place April 7 and 8, with its most extensive lineup ever. The complete band list, which runs the gamut from rock to metal to spazz to hip-hop, looks like this:

As always, the conference is run entirely by student volunteers and funded only through ticket sales, which are available through the MACRoCk website until tomorrow, and in person at the box office after that. Tix are only $25, roughly 21 cents a band (take that Pitchfork Music Festival!).

All in all, the weekend will include over 120 performances, panels featuring musicians, industry professionals and radio types, a label expo, a film festival, and plenty more.

Past performers at MACRoCk have included Elliott Smith, Fugazi, the Faint, Ted Leo/Pharmacists, and the Dismemberment Plan.
