Gnarls Barkley Make UK Chart History

If you haven't heard "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley yet, cherish your innocence and purity, for soon you will be a "Crazy" slut. The song went to number one in the UK this past weekend, despite the fact that the actual, physical single wasn't available in shops until Tuesday.

This marks the first time a single hit the top of the charts based on download sales alone, and things will surely never be the same again. For starters, Britain's Prince Charles, despite objections from Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth, will henceforth be known as Prince Gnarls. We're living through history here, people. Anything can happen.

As previously reported, DJ/producer Danger Mouse and singer/rapper Cee-Lo have been waiting patiently to blow our minds with the much-anticipated debut album from their psychedelic soul collaboration. St. Elsewhere is due out in the U.S. May 9 on Downtown Records/Atlantic, and if the success of the first single 'cross the pond is any indication, we'll all be kneeling at the feet of Sir Gnarls this summer.

The Gnarls Barkley live experience will hit festivals throughout the world in the coming months, starting with Coachella at the end of April. Danger Mouse and Cee-Lo will also charm Britain's "Top of the Pops" television show on April 16.
