Neil Young Disses President Bush on New Album

Crawling marquee tickers may have transformed many a middle schooler's ExPage into a bookmark-worthy website (in their own browsers, anyway), but when Neil Young embraces this fancy HTML code to deliver news, you know he's got something VERY IMPORTANT TO SAY.

Like the fact that the rock veteran recently recorded a new album, Living with War, and it's a protest album. The set contains the title track, "Let's Impeach the President", ""Lookin' for a Leader", and seven other songs. Featured musicians include what Young describes on his website as a "power trio" (Chad Cromwell on drums, Rick Rosas on bass, and Tommy Bray on trumpet), and a 100-voice choir.

Young's manager, Elliot Roberts, told Reuters that the album, slated for release on Warner Music Group's Reprise Records, is "devoted to the state of America, or the direction that America is moving in." He also mentioned that Young was scheduled to preview the material for some Warner bigwigs yesterday.

Readers with spare time and infinite patience can scope out the lyrics to "Living with War" as they creep along the bottom of Young's home page very, very slowly.
