I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness Tour

Ahh, summer's in the air. Time for strolling leisurely on the beach, be-flip-flopped and carefree, the world one giant beachball floating through the air on the wings of a summer wind. Could there be a more ideal season for Britt Daniel's mopey Austin homies I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness? After all, the sun gives you cancer and the ocean is filled with man-eating sharks, so put that boogie board away and head over to the dark, smoky womb of your local rock club.

Hot on the heels of their winter-friendly debut LP, Fear Is on Our Side, as well as an East Coast tour, the quartet kicks off another trek next week.

Have you seen their awesome inverted-cross-heart logo? If we still had a Trapper Keeper, we'd totally be drawing that all over it.

In other news, I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness have launched a new website. Check out www.chosendarkness.com and be dazzled by the...well...darkness. It's mostly just a black screen, which I suppose, if nothing else, simply confirms their resolve when it comes to choosing all things dark.

Finally, look for a new video and single for the Fear Is on Our Side track, "According to Plan" this month. The single will include Fear outtake "Close To Here" as well as a new song, "Better Strangers", both previously unreleased. "According to Plan" may not end up being this summer's "Hey Ya" but it deserves at least to be this summer's "Slow Hands".
