Pitchfork: The Concretes Tour With New Buffalo

If there was ever a "spring" band (you know, like flowers and birds and stuff), it would have to be Swedish twee-pop sensations the Concretes.

As previously reported, the band's sophomore LP, In Colour landed March 28 via Astralwerks and features song titles like "Sunbeams" and "Change in the Weather". Tonight, the adorable eight-piece will warm our icy hearts with gig number one of their North American tour, following a lengthy jaunt in Europe. (They're more into flowers and junk over there. They're probably wearing Speedos already).

Joining the Concretes on the North American extravaganza is Melbourne's Sally Seltmann, aka New Buffalo. In celebration of the jaunt, Arts & Crafts will drop the New Buffalo EP, available through GalleryAC.com and iTunes on May 15, and on the many merch tables the trek will see. It includes a Broken Social Scene remix of the song "I've Got You and You've Got Me", as well as an alternate version of "Inside (The Corrections)", featuring Jens Lekman. Hot!

Both of those songs originally appeared on New Buffalo's debut album, The Last Beautiful Day, which came out last year on Arts & Crafts, and is due to be released in Europe in June.
