Austin City Limits Festival Lineup Revealed

Leaks can be such a bitch. They affect everyone: artists guarding their albums, celebrities hiding their sex tapes, CIA agents protecting their identities. Even music festivals aren't immune.

Yesterday, Robert Wilonsky of the Dallas Observer posted the initial lineup for the for the 2006 Austin City Limits Music Festival, taking place September 15-17 at Zilker Park in Austin, Texas, on the Observer's blog. The official announcement is due Thursday morning.

In addition to the previously confirmed Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, the Flaming Lips, Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals, and Willie Nelson, festivalgoers can now look forward to catching Van Morrison, the Raconteurs, the Shins, Feist, Stars, Sparklehorse, Wolf Parade, Secret Machines, Gnarls Barkley, Cat Power and the Memphis Rhythm Band, José González, the New Pornographers, Ted Leo, Okkervil River, Iron & Wine, Calexico, Son Volt, Los Lonely Boys ("How far is heaaaaaaaaven?"), and many more.
