Pitchfork: Aceyalone, Diverse Launch Storm Tour

Finally, Storm is getting her due. First, she gets mad screen time in X-Men: The Last Stand, and now she's got a bunch of underground rappers naming a tour after her. Headlining the Storm Tour is Aceyalone, fresh off the release of his latest record, the RJD2 collaboration Magnificent City. His partners in summer mic melting include Ugly Duckling (who released their third album, Bang for the Buck, in April), the Procussions, Diverse, Wrekonize, and ¡Mayday!.

The tour begins May 30, which happens to be the release date of the Procussions' Rawkus Records debut, 5 Sparrows for 2 Cents. The Procussions will also be playing one date by themselves, a June 24 appearance at the 2nd Annual Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival alongside Big Daddy Kane and Chicago heavy hitters Lupe Fiasco and Rhymefest.

After their own brief hiatuses, Diverse and Ugly Duckling will rejoin the tour in the former's hometown of Chicago. Diverse is also scheduled to release Round About, his One A.M. follow-up, sometime this fall.
