Love Is All Sign to Parlophone, New Single Due

In the age of iPods, torrents, and streams, it's good to know that some bands continue to make it as difficult as ever to find their music. That's exactly what Love Is All and their American label, What's Your Rupture?, have done. Love Is All first reached our shores via a few lovingly packaged, extremely limited edition vinyl singles. Neither the band nor the label has a very helpful website; both rely on skeletal MySpace pages instead.

It was recently announced that Love Is All have signed to Parlophone in the UK, and the label plans to release the band's debut, Nine Times That Same Song, over there on July 3. (An American re-release on What's Your Rupture?, through Caroline Distribution, is scheduled for later in the year.)

But don't let that fool you-- What's Your Rupture? has a buttload of vinyl releases planned for this year.

Love Is All's "Busy Doing Nothing" single will be released June 26 in the UK. It comes in three formats: 7", 12", and CD. All three will have the "Busy Doing Nothing" A-side with the Kim Fowley cover "Motorboat" as the B-side (or, in the case of the 12", a second A-side), but both the 12" and the CD will feature a demo version of "Felt Tip" as a bonus track.

B Motorboat

"Busy Doing Nothing" 12"/CD:

A1 Busy Doing Nothing
A2 Motorboat
B1 Felt Tip Demo

The band will play two dates in London in support of the single before hitting the Scandinavian festival circuit later this summer. They have plans to return to the U.S. in the fall, but nothing is confirmed at the moment.

But Love Is All aren't the only band on What's Your Rupture? Labelmates the Long Blondes and caUSE co-MOTION! both have vinyl releases coming out soon as well. caUSE co-MOTION!'s "Which Way Is Up" 7" single and the Long Blondes' 12" Appropriation EP don't have release dates yet, but we do have tracklists:

Finally, on August 8, What's Your Rupture? will release What's Your Rupture? Vol. 1: Imagine the Shapes, which compiles the label's first four EPs from Love Is All, caUSE co-MOTION!, Long Blondes, and Comet Gain. All of that music was previously only available on vinyl. I guess good (read: digital) things really do come to those who wait.
