Silver Jews Add More Dates

Stage fright, agoraphobia, fear of microphones, bah! After 15 years of evading public spaces as an (almost) studio-only band, the Silver Jews launched their first-ever tour earlier this year. Guess it wasn't so bad after all, as they've scheduled a whole new set of dates to take them through the summer.

The first go-round saw David Berman and crew hitting up mainly U.S. venues, but this time the Joos are truly international, ticking off a checklist of European festivals as well as playing two shows in the Jewiest place in the world, Israel.

But not even the Holy Land can compete with what will surely be the highlight of the Silver Jews' summer-- a slot at our own Pitchfork Music Festival on July 29. After that, they'll close out the summer with a gig in Wales and a mini West Coast tour. And who knows how long it will be until they're back on the road again, so enjoy them while you can.
