Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin Sign to Polyvinyl
The self-proclaimed "THIRD BEST BAND ON WELLER STREET IN SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI, THE QUEEN CITY", Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, are moving up in the ranks. In fact, we might call it a total clean sweep of their competition... you know, the people who didn't get signed to Polyvinyl Records.
SSLYBY were selected to join forces with Team Polyvinyl, home to Mates of State, Rainer Maria, the M's, and Saturday Looks Good to Me, to name a few. Not only that, but the four-piece will soon drop a remastered reissue of their debut record, Broom, originally released on Generic Equivalent earlier this year. Version 2.0 is slated to see the light of day on October 22, at which point the record's availability will improve from its current buy-me-on-the-website-and-tour-only status.
Those interested in picking up the original Broom can stand
in line for the merch table on SSLYBY's current tour with Austin's Sound Team.
Fall 2006 dates are in the works.
The starting lineup:
06-19 Vancouver, British Columbia - Red Room *
06-20 Seattle, WA - Crocodile Cafe *
06-21 Portland, OR - Berbatis Pan *
