Grandaddy’s Lytle Schedules Solo Tour

Grandaddy’s Lytle Schedules Solo Tour

Grandaddy may have passed on, but frontman Jason Lytle's career is alive and kickin'. Back in January, Lytle told Pitchfork that he had no intention of giving up playing music-- "I've actually tried to stop a bunch of times," he said, "but it's not really possible."

How impossible? Well, since then, Lytle has made a few radio appearances, performed at TapeOpCon 2006, and played a small bunch of record stores. Now he's gearing up to take his solo show on the road this summer with the Look Who Drifted Into Town Tour, a series of small acoustic shows across the U.S. The trek is subtitled "An Evening With Jason Lytle", lending it an air of Lite FM respectability.

Performing songs from Grandaddy's final LP, Just Like the Fambly Cat, as well as "hits" from Sumday, Sophtware Slump and Excerpts from the Diary of Todd Zilla, Lytle will be accompanied by fellow drifter and multi-instrumentalist Rusty Miller (Jackpot).
