Emperor Tour, Autograph America

Hey boys and girls! Norwegian black metal favorites Emperor are not only playing a few rare U.S. shows in the coming week, they're also holding autograph sessions. Yup, if you show up at 6pm on July 14 at the Borders in Columbus Circle in NYC, or at the same time on July 17 at the Tower Records on Sunset Boulevard in L.A., you'll be treated to signatures, and maybe even a hug, from Ihsahn, Samoth, and Trym (sorry, Mortiis is no longer in the band).

Emperor formed in 1991 and released five albums by the early part of this decade. In 2001, they broke up right before they released their final album, Prometheus: The Discipline of Fire & Demise. In 2004, their first four albums were reissued: Wrath of the Tyrants, In the Nightside Eclipse, Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk, and IX Equilibrium.

There's really no new material on display on this tour. They just want to come over here and yell at some Americans. And that's cool with us.
