Oakley Hall Record Daytrotter Sessions, Tour

Oneida offshoots Oakley Hall recently stopped at Futureappletree Studio One in Rock Island, IL to record their own Daytrotter Session. They recorded four songs for the session, "Light of My Love" and "Lazy Susan" from the two (!) 2006 LPs Second Guessing and Gypsum Strings, respectively, and two previously unreleased tunes, "All the Way Down" and "Old and Gone". The session shows the band taking some of the edge off the studio versions and doing things in full lemonade-on-the-back-porch mode.

Oakley Hall will be touring with like-minded country/folk crooners M. Ward and Calexico in September, but you can still savor the summer with the band at their single July date tonight at the Mercury Lounge in their NYC hometown.
