Infinite Mixtape #29: Ratatat: "Lex"
It's hard not to wanna bust a move (or at least lurch back and forth) to this electro-elastic groovepiece from Ratatat's forthcoming sophomore effort, the not-so-humbly titled Classics. The duo lay a taut, tug-of-war rhythmic foundation and top it with sliced riffs and pulsating keyboards, the whole thing finally dissolving into a chimey 8-bit video game phantasmagoria. Total party music for the Nintendo set. Sick drums, too. Your mixtape totally sux without it.
