Pitchfork: Video: Beck: "We Dance Alone"

Oh Beck, you're such a tease! Yet another video for a track from his forthcoming album The Information (due out in October on Interscope), he found its way to the interweb. This time, it's for "We Dance Alone"

Watching it, at first you might think your computer screen's resolution is messed up; no, it's just the "artistic quality" of the video. (But you already knew Beck was artsy.) Throughout the track, some sort of photo-negative image of his head bobs around a room, multi-colored disco lights twinkle, and a schoolgirl taps away at a typewriter.

The homemade quality of the video is indicative of the style with which Beck approached The Information, apparently. According to MTV.com, he filmed a series of low-budget clips for other tracks on the new album, featuring appearances by his wife (actress Marissa Ribisi), men in top hats, and rapping grizzly bears (the latter of which appeared onstage at Beck's Bonnaroo set). Rumor has it that these videos will be released as a DVD along with the new album.
