MP3: Jedi Mind Tricks Bring Sufjan to the Streets

Sufjan Stevens: Great American poet. Indie rock messiah. Thinking-girl's heartthrob. Hip-hop muse?

Yes, it appears that Sufjeezy isn't only inspiring grade-school MCs these days, as veteran underground rap crew Jedi Mind Tricks have used Stevens' A Son Came jam "Dumb I Sound" as the basis for their new track "Razorblade Salvation". Producer Stoupe and lyricist Vinnie Paz have also enlisted Sufjan collaborator/My Brightest Diamond principal Shara Worden to croon the hook.

"Razorblade Salvation" appears on Jedi Mind Tricks' forthcoming fifth album, Servants in Heaven, Kings in Hell, due out September 19 on Babygrande Records.
