The Killers Announce Massacre of a Tour
Leave naught but bloodshed, screaming fans in their wake
Love them or rather puree your genitals in a blender while listening to Puddle of Mudd than ever hear them again, there's no denying that the Killers are quite an alternative rock juggernaut these days. The flamboyant fourpiece has just announced an October-long North American tour of appropriately massive venues, kicking off a few days after Sam's Town arrives in a million teenage bedrooms on October 3. But enough with the snarkery! Here are the datez:
10-06 Los Angeles, CA - The Wiltern
10-07 Los Angeles, CA - The Wiltern
10-08 San Francisco, CA - Warfield Theatre
10-10 Portland, OR - Roseland Theater
10-11 Vancouver, British Columbia - Orpheum Theatre
10-12 Seattle, WA - Paramount Theatre
10-14 Magna, UT - The Great Salt Air
10-15 Denver, CO - Fillmore Auditorium
10-17 Chicago, IL - Congress Theatre
10-18 Detroit, MI - State Theatre
10-20 Toronto, Ontario - Koolhaus
10-21 Atlantic City, NJ - Borgata Event Center
10-23 Philadelphia, PA - Electric Factory
10-24 New York, NY - Theatre at Madison Square Garden
10-25 New York, NY - Theatre at Madison Square Garden
10-26 Boston, MA - Orpheum Theatre
10-28 Las Vegas, NV - Sam Boyd Stadium (Vegoose Festival)
Having matured past their dread "Mascara-cum-New Wave" phase, it seems the Killers have now entered a "Mexican Missionary Melodrama-cum-Stadium Rock" phase, as evidenced by the new "trailer" for the music video-- excuse me, "película"-- for airwave-divebombing single "When You Were Young". Didn't Jon Secada do this already?:
