Pitchfork: Wolfmother Take Over the World

Clear your mind of all traces of AIDS, parades, eyes, and (tough but necessary) fucking, because right now, it's all about the mothers. We're speaking of the three curly-haired rockers who make up Australia's Wolfmother.

Consider the rest of the year full-mooned, because Wolfmother have announced a series of North American, European, and Australian tour dates to round out 2006. (They've even got one date scheduled in 2007 already.) Festivals, clubs, the MTV2 Spanking New Tour of the UK, Strokes-supporting arena dates-- this trio is doing it all.

In addition, Wolfmother will provide the lead track ("Joker and the Thief") for the soundtrack to the upcoming movie Jackass 2, NME.com reports. To repay the favor, both Johnny Knoxville and Steve-O are slated to appear in the song's video, due sometime in November.

Also, the single for "Love Train" will be released in the UK on September 18. People all over the world, join hands!
