Having already queried doctors, whippoorwills, and killer whales for romantic advice, M. Ward-- or at least his stubby, animated counterpart-- turns to an "old, old man" in the video for "Chinese Translation" (from his latest Merge longplayer, Post-War, which came out this week). The thoughtful piece was put together by directors Joel Trussell (responsible for Jason Forrest's kickass "War Photographer" vid) and Eric Johnson, animators Gene Blakefield and Darin Bendall, and assistant Chris Chua. Very autumn-appropriate.
